There is an increasing number of people with dementia who live at home. The SafeDoor occupancy sensor is the latest system designed to prevent people with dementia from wandering away from their home.
SafeDoor is fitted with a discreet door sensor which, when activated, alerts the nominated carer in case of wandering.
Its advanced movement sensors only alert if a person goes out of the door and will not alarm if the door is simply opened. It is also possible to use a delay to allow the person to make a short visit outside by only notifying the carer if the time limit is exceeded and the person has not returned inside.
