SafeBed is a bed monitoring system to prevent falls and wandering.
It is specifically designed to support those who are unable to summon help, such as those suffering from dementia. SafeBed uses an unobtrusive, under-mattress occupancy sensor that requires no contact with the person.
These movement sensors are extremely durable and sensitive, working to detect vital life signs. The alarm will sound within a few seconds after the person has left their bed. It also allows for a preset delay before alarming so the carer can be notified if the person does not return to their bed within the given time eg. after visiting the bathroom.
Occupancy sensors like SafeBed can be battery operated or run from the mains supply.
