Full Description
The St Bernard GT300 is a versatile device with simple mobile phone functionality. It also features a fall indicator with adjustable sensitivity and voice feedback which allows the user to cancel accidental alerts. Small, stylish and lightweight, it has a panic button which if pressed can raise an alert and open a voice channel to a relative or carer.
This simple to use mobile phone has 4 speed dial numbers and a 20 number phone book and can be programmed with up to 5 timed alarms that can be set to remind the user of regular events, such as reminding them to eat or to take medication. An alert can also be raised if the phone is switched off allowing you to visit the user to ensure the phone / locator is switched on.
The location service will automatically send immediate alerts directly to family members or carers if the user should go over the ‘invisible’ barrier of the safe area that has been set up.
The alerts can be sent by text message or email and can include the address, postcode or latitude and longitude of the location in a form which can be used directly with mapping services such as Google Maps on a smart phone. The alert information will also appear in the secure website with the option to view as a map or as a high level aerial photo. A ‘live update’ facility is also available which will update the map whenever a new position is received. This can be valuable when you are looking for someone who is moving around.
Once purchased the customer service team will contact you to ensure the locator is configured to meet the needs of the user. The customer service team will advice you on how to manage the service and will provide help and advice on the most appropriate way to use the service for your needs. Please note you will be asked to choose either a Vodafone or Orange/T-Mobile SIM.
Please note that this product can only be sold in the UK.
Alert notifications are often sent via SMS and an allowance of 10 SMS per month are included in the service costs. SMS in excess of this will be charged at 10p each. If voice calls are made these will be charged at 20p per minutes. Incoming calls are not charged.
If the device is used overseas there will be additional charges depending on the country visited. Charges for excess SMS, voice calls and roaming data will be billed directly to the customer.
