Full Description
The P158A microphone adds sound detection to the Companion Epilepsy Monitor. This additional epilepsy sensor listens for specific sounds made by the bed occupant. The sensor is designed to be sensitive to repetitive bursts of sound which the occupant may make during a seizure or severe distress. The microphone blocks out background noise, for example from a TV or radio.
This device requires connection to a S1026A Radio Companion Epilepsy Monitor.
Devices like these remove the need for regular nocturnal checks on vulnerable people, which disturb them and can cause unnecessary behavioural issues, particularly with sufferers of epilepsy and dementia.
