Full Description
Temperatures lower than 15C and higher than 27C are known to cause health problems for the elderly. As well as a dramatic rise in the number of falls, there are reported rises in chest and heart complaints leading to an increase in care demand and possibly hospitalisation.
The min / max temperature sensor provides an extremely low cost solution for less vulnerable clients who are either capable of monitoring themselves or who receive regular visits from relatives or carers. It helps identify temperature extremes that may not be obvious such as when the heating is off or during cold weather. The sensor is a low cost, battery operated temperature detector that displays the current, minimum and maximum temperatures (in C or F) recorded until reset.
Small, discrete and simple to install, it has been designed for living areas to provide visual feedback to either relatives or carers. Featuring touch sensitive controls, no external connections and a long life battery these extreme temperature detectors provide continuous heat detection using an in built sensor.
When commanded, the device displays current temperature and if requested the minimum and maximum temperatures recorded since last reset to alert of any potential risks due to temperature extremes. Designed to be wiped clean, the installation is wire-free.
