Simple to use, this portable Signwave Receiver alerts a Deaf or Hard of Hearing person of an event, such as the doorbell being pressed. It uses an on-board strobe, variable sound frequencies and the incoming alert symbol to notify the user to a number of alerting options such as a ringing telephone, smoke alarm or burglar alarm. Each event has a unique sound to help the user to identify the different alerts. This Signwave Portable Sounder Flasher needs to be used with a range of monitors (sold separately) and a vibrating pillow pad if the user wants to be woken during the night - sold separately.

Full Description

The Portable Sounder Flasher Unit is hearing equipment forming part of the market leading Silent Alert SA3000 Paging System. The integral SignWave device can be moved around the home and garden. When a signal is received from one of a number of alerting options, the SignWave produces a sound to match the event, flashes a high intensity strobe and illuminates the appropriate symbol on the display.

The Unit can be used to alert users to a range of events, including activation of the doorbell, door entry, a ringing landline telephone or mobile, the sounding of certain alarms such as baby monitors, smoke or carbon monoxide alarms and car or home security systems. Carer options include a chair leaving alarm, movement or door monitors, emergency person to person key fob and under carpet pressure pad. This needs to be used with a Vibrating Pillow Pad to wake the user at night.

To raise alerts, the Signwave Unit works with a range of sensors, such as a telephone monitor, universal monitor, movement monitor etc - all sold separately.

This deaf equipment system features a digital radio and integral rechargeable battery. For use inside and outside, it has dual range (100m indoors and 500m in open air). As with all hearing aids, listening equipment like this is also VAT exempt for people with hearing loss.
